Storyline

Founded in the 70's, the vineyard covers 23 hectares and produces red, "rosé" and white wines. Its main production is a sweet white wine under the controlled appellation Rosette.

Exploring new approaches

Wine making being an art where the inspiration and appetite for risk are key components, Château Puypezat-Rosette is keen to explore new approaches to better fit consumers’ liking and expectations and be more respectful of our environment.

Protecting our environnement

Atypical and innovative, Château Puypezat-Rosette has begun renovating works of the winery and of the premises to become one of the first energy self-sufficient winery. The winery and the office building are equipped with photovoltaic panels producing the daily energy necessary for the exploitation of the vineyard. The production of the warm water of the property will also be produced with solar energy. Waste waters are channeled and treated naturally through a system of lagunage to better protect the surrounding environment.

The renovation work began in early 2008 and will be completed in 2009. The winery is operational and equipped with brand-new equipment. The outside architecture of the building will be finished this winter.
